About our Charities
Our founder, Larry Hurley, started Foundation of smiles and the Umbrella of Love, after witnessing first hand how easy it can be to become overlooked. In an effort to change this for our nation's underserved communities he started our tradition of using the networking required in the Entertainment Industry, to give back to these communities.
As he quickly understood, it takes more than one person or one company to make a significant change. By coming together as a community, we hope to spread awareness, provide more resources and provide education to those in need. The Umbrella of love strives to use the help they provide to Athens, Georgia as a road map to becoming a role model for other cities across the nation. The Foundation of Smiles strives to bring other charitible organizations together to grow their impact.
Together we can make a difference. Help us unite as an army against homlessness, addiction, abuse, and at-risk living situations.
Foundation of Smiles
Our mission is simple: We believe in order to make an impact on the lives of veterans and underserved communities: like the abused, the addicted and at-risk children and families, it takes a village. by coming together we can improve the challenges these communities face. Joining forces and helping fundraise for other charities is our first step toward changing the world for the better. Watch for updates on our events and missions. Let's do this!
Umbrella of love
Umbrella of Love’s mission is to bring together and raise money for nonprofits that focus on homelessness, addiction and hunger in Athens, Georgia. We strive to be a role model for other cities, offering our successes and failures as lessons to support them.
Join us November 2025 as we unite to break the world record for the longest loaf of bread as a part of our mission.
