About our Showcases
In conjunction with Smiley’s Unique Entertainment's Georgia Music History projects, we will be having showcases for music acts across Georgia. These showcases will feature some of the top Georgia-based entertainers, to get them in front of new fans, industry people and more. We have several sponsors (and the list is growing) that are donating time, gift cards and discounts for the performers. In addition, these acts will be up for paying gigs at some of Smiley's state-wide shows, along with opening slots for some larger acts. We are proud to be able to do this for our amazing Georgia talent. We will be holding these shows around the state so as not to leave anyone out of this opportunity. These showcases are not contests. The purpose is to give each chosen artist a chance to be a part of the Georgia Music History project.
Unlike a lot of showcases, all acts will receive a minimum of $75 for their performance to help cover gas and other ancillary costs. Awards could range from studio time, to gift cards, to management opportunities, etc. Recipients will be chosen by the prize donors along with a committee of judges. Gig opportunities will be chosen by Smiley's Unique Entertainment, Georgia Music History, and/or Foundation of Smiles, venues, and the bands that the act would be opening for. There will be awards announced prior to the deadline of each show, however more can be added up until showtime. These are a few of the things that will set our showcases apart. There will be more things added as the showcases progress. Being picked for a showcase does not preclude any act from reapplying for other events. Full sets will be captured by a professional videographer. Video of each performance will be edited and available for a discounted price.
Please review our Georgia Music Showcase rules below before signing up using the contact form at the bottom of this page.
the rules and regulations for the Foundation of Smiles Charity Showcases may be adjusted in relation to the charity event itself.
- The winner of the Foundation of Smiles Corp showcase will win an opening headliner slot for our Bread of Life showcases.
- All bands will receive paid gigs throughout the year before Annual Bread of Life.
- All artists selected to perform in the showcases for Foundation of Smiles Corp. will receive paid slots for the annual Bread of Life Event.
